EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) absorbers are energy-absorbing material used in various applications to mitigate and dissipate energy. Absorbers typically are used in back wall, side wall, floor and ceiling of major reflection zones of an anechoic chamber.
Traditionally, microwave absorbers are designed using ‘transmission line’ theory, but our approach relies on full-wave band simulation. This optimization yields the best absorber structure for excellent electromagnetic wave absorption.
Key advantages of our absorbers include:
- Electrical Properties: EPPs exhibit a low dielectric constant and minimal surface reflection. The matrix is homogeneous, with substantial electromagnetic attenuation. Consequently, EPP absorbers have excellent microwave band absorption properties
- Flame Retardant Properties: UL94 HF-1
- Limit Oxygen Index (LOI): >27%
- Operating Temperature: Suitable for long-term use between -50°C and 100°C, with short-term capability up to 120°C
- Environmental Friendliness: The raw material is non-toxic and odorless, with no release of harmful gases
- Finished Products: Stable properties, RoHS compliant, and available in multiple colors with customization options
- Physical Performance: Direct compression molding ensures accurate sizing and stability, preventing deformation
